Melanie Makris is the business manager at Paradigm Urology. She also serves as our pharmacist and clinical nutritionist (Paradigm Nutrition), handling a very broad spectrum of activities.

Originally from Western Australia, Melanie completed her studies at Curtin University in Perth. She started her career as a pharmacist in WA, before working in the UK in both hospital and retail pharmacy and gained experience in German pharmacies, after learning to speak German. In 2010 she moved to Victoria, remaining highly involved in pharmacy while developing her expertise and knowledge in nutrition and environmental medicine through the Australasian College of Nutrition and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), where she is currently undergoing fellowship training, while taking on a managerial role in our practice. 

Melanie brings an in-depth knowledge of nutrition and functional medicine to Paradigm Urology. She’s a passionate advocate for the whole foods movement and values the health benefits of a balanced diet and targeted nutritional supplements. Her interests currently include gut health, hair tissue mineral analysis and nutrigenomics.
